Prophet Nuh -The world Flood(Part1)

Prophet Nuh and similarities with Manu-Part1

Prophet Nuh(AS or Noah)

Prophet Nuh(AS) is known as Noah in Christianity and Judaism.   He is known as a Prophet who was given a new Law(‘Shariat’). There were about 10 generations between Prophet Adam (AS) and Prophet Nuh(AS).
The Family tree starting from Prophet Adam (AS) to Prophet Nuh (AS) is as follows:

He was the 10th generation from Adam (AS).   A major prophet before the prophet Nuh (AS) was Idris (AS). He was the first person to be credited with knowledge, and science. In Christianity, Prophet Idris (AS) was called Enoch. He did not die and is still living in paradise. The story is interesting and might be posted in another article. Idris (AS) was from the 6th generation after Adam (AS). Idris (AS) was born in Babylon and later went to Egypt. He lived for about 865 years.
Prophet Idris ( AS) known as Enoch(Christianity) and Hermes(Greeks) is credited with building the Pyramids of Egypt.(According to Muslim and Egyptian Coptic sources).

According to a well-known Muslim historian and geographer Abul Hasan Ali Ibn Hussain Ibn Ali Al Masudi,” Surid Ben Shaluk Ben Sermuni Ben Termidun Ben Tedresan Ben Sal, one of the kings of Egypt before the Flood
who was born in Baghdad and was a descendant of Abdullah bin Masud. (RA).  Abdullah bin Masud was one of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and one of the best reciters in the Quran.
The word “Ben” which is from the Jews and the word “bin” is used by the Arabs.  Both these two races, at one time, had their great…..fathers were brothers. It is like “Apon Ki Mamla”, outsiders would not understand. The Muslim perspective is just 1400 years old, but they already had a history of rivalry before Islam came.
Al Wasifi, another scholar writes:
“This king had a dream in which he felt as if the earth was overturned with all its inhabitants, the men fled in all directions, and the stars fell and clashed against each other with a terrible noise. He was moved by this dream and conceived a great fear; he nevertheless imparted his foreknowledge to no person, but he knew that some terrible event would happen in the world. Then he dreamed that the fixed stars descended on the earth in the form of white birds; these birds caught men in flight, and threw them between two high mountains which then closed over them; then the stars darkened and were eclipsed. This dream renewed his terrors

[...] When all these things had been established, King Sūrīd entrusted surveillance to the invisible spirits and offered them sacrifices, so they would turn down anyone who would want to approach without providing the agreed-upon offerings and without performing the established rites in their honor.

The Copts say that the pyramids bear a painted inscription in Arabic whose interpretation is this: “I, Sūrīd, the king, built these pyramids at such and such a time. I completed the building in six years. Let anyone who would come after me and believe himself a king as great as I destroy them in six years, for all know that it is easier to destroy than to build. I also covered the pyramids in silk: Let those who come after me cover them in turn.:”

The Gist is:
·         That there would be a great flood was known before several hundred years.
·         Person who is credited with building the Great Pyramids-Surid( Egyptian Cops), Idris(AS) and Shaddad.

Idris (AS) was a prophet sent by Almighty Allah (God) and was the third prophet since Adam (AS).

“And mention in the Book, Idrees. Indeed, he was a man of truth and a prophet.”
                                                     (Surah Maryam, Holy Quran).  19:56

Idris is called by the name Hermes (Greeks) and Enoch according to Judaism and Christianity.

Death
Prophet Idris (AS) did not die and is still living in Heaven.

The relationship between the Abrahamic Religions

The main story begins in Ur, Iraq (according to some scholars. Quran does not mention any details).
Ibrahim (AS) known as Abraham by Judaism and Christians.
The parents of Ibrahim (AS) were idolaters.  His father was a priest and he made idols. The king who was an idolater and tyrant was called Namrud. (He is also called Nimrod by the Jews and Christians).
Ibrahim (AS) leaves Mesopotamia and moves to Canaan.
Later he married twice since his first wife did not bear a son. He married Bibi Hajira later on. His firstborn was Ishmael. (AS). A prophet too but by race was half Arab. A thing to note, that Prophet Ibrahim (AS) was from Iraq but was Semitic. What is Semitic?  Pls read further and like us in Facebook.
One important thing to note. Many Muslims make a mistake on this.
Ibrahim (AS) WAS NOT A:
·         Arab
·         Jew
·         Christian.
He was a monotheist man from ancient Iraq, but not an Arab.

The Arabs are of three categories:
·         Pure Arabs
·         Naturalized Arabs
·         Perished Arabs- They are history.
Ibrahim (AS)’s first wife was a noble Arab lady.

The Jews can claim their race and religion’s originator is Ibrahim (AS) -Abraham. The Arabs cannot claim about race but that Prophet Ibrahim (AS) was the ancestor of Prophet Muhammad. (pbuh).
The Quran says:
“Ibrāhīm was neither a Jew nor a Christian. But he was upright, a Muslim, and was not one of those who associate partners with Allah.”

Bani Israel is known as Children of Israel.

Children of Israel

The Children of Israel are called as they are the Children of Prophet Yakub (AS). Yakub (AS) is known as Isaac according to the Christians.
Yakub (AS) had another name =Israel. He had 12 sons, 10 from 1 wife and two from another.  One of the two sons ar mentioned in the Quran is Yusuf. (Joseph)

Judaism Beliefs:
·         Belief in One Lord.
·         Prays 3 times a day. (Muslims pray -5 times a day).
·         Fasting-6 days in a year.(Muslims fast 30 days in a year). Fasting is between sunrise and sunset.
·         Tzedakah-Charity.
The closest religion to Islam is Judaism. Having said that Jews (according to Jew Scholars) may pray in A Muslim Masjid (Mosque) besides their own religious temples.
And We did certainly give the Children of Israel the Scripture and judgment and prophet hood, and We provided them with good things and preferred them over the worlds. [Quran, 45:16]
